Art Club’s mission is to allow artistic growth in our community. In the spring we have a talent showcase night to highlight the diverse forms of art in our school. All forms of art are valued, music, painting, singing, dancing and even cake decorating. Whatever your talent we want to help you express yourself in a safe and supportive community. Art club meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month in room 228 @ 12:20 pm. 

MCEC’s Beta Club is dedicated to helping the youth of Montgomery County.  In 2019, Beta Club started an annual Math Competition called “Math Olympics.” In addition, MCEC Beta Club successfully participates in regional, state, and national-level competitions related to leadership, character, problem-solving, and academics.  MCEC sends Beta Club Induction Invitations at the beginning of each school year. The Interact Club is a service-based organization that focuses on helping people through community service projects. Previous efforts have focused on helping victims of hurricanes, feeding local families, and collecting warm clothing for those in need. If you are interested in helping to create our 2025 - 2026 yearbook, please contact Ms. Heather Gordon - heather.gordon@montgomery.k12.nc.us  We are beginning to make plans and would love to include those who may not be in Journalism. If you enjoy graphic design, writing, or photography, we would love to allow you the opportunity to share your skills! 

CLICK HERE to read editions of the Phoenixes' Call.  The Phoenixes' Call is a bi-monthly publication created completely by Montgomery County Early College students. Students write, edit, and publish the work on their own. This publication showcases all of the wonderful students of MCEC and shows the community what it means to be a Phoenix.

OLAS is a club that focuses on students with multiple backgrounds- enhancing the knowledge, understanding, and respect for the Latin community. Our organization focuses on supporting MCEC and the larger community through active involvement, fundraisers, and service projects.  Last winter, the club raised enough money to fund the first OLAS Christmas Service Project where we were able to sponsor an entire grade level from both Troy Elementary and Candor Elementary.  Club members went to each school, read a children’s Christmas story, sang carols, and passed out a small gift bag to each child!  Although this club was only established in October of 2019, the members of OLAS have gone above and beyond.  OLAS hopes to continue giving back to the community each year, but we need your support!! Join today and help continue the legacy of OLAS.  Please contact Mrs. Williams for more information.

Montgomery County Early College is seeking students interested in serving as Phoenix Ambassadors.  Phoenix Ambassadors must in good academic standing, have a strong school spirit, and be interested in sharing their Early College experience with others. Ambassadors will serve to support MCEC at various functions including greeting campus visitors, conducting campus tours, and assisting with student recruitment. Phoenix FIRE is a girl empowerment group that welcomes all lady Phoenixes. We strive to support one another in the cultivation of academic, personal, and social competencies. Together, we engage in activities that hone the soft skills necessary for success in future endeavors and to foster the development of focused, intelligent, resilient and extraordinary young women. SOW’s mission is to sow seeds of goodwill through community service and deeds of kindness to others and our world.
