Mission, Beliefs, and Vision

Mission

The mission of MCEC is to provide an advanced educational experience in a small setting that equips students to meet their college and career goals by empowering students to become self-aware and effective leaders, embrace diversity, and build strong relationships.

Vision

Montgomery County Early College believes that integrating the high school and community college experience with STEAM opportunities to excel in a rigorous academic environment will allow students to achieve success and affordable access to the college, career, and/or military service of their choice.

Beliefs

MCEC will promote career and college readiness for all students, focus on ACT preparation and achievement, support all students to graduate from high school with transferrable credits and/or a community college degree, and all students will demonstrate annual EOC growth and proficiency.

MCEC will establish career and college readiness by ensuring students score Level 3’s, 4’s, and 5’s in EOC courses, obtain competitive ACT scores, and show success in community college coursework leading to an associate’s degree in addition to a high school diploma.
